Acer CEO Gianfranco Lanci on December 1 will sign with officials of Chongqing City, western China, to invest US$150 million to set up its second China operational headquarters.

Executives including Quanta Computer vice chairman and CEO CC Leung, Compal Electronics president Ray Chen, Wistron CEO and president Robert Huang and Pegatron Technology chairman Tung Tsu-hsien are expected to attend the signing.

Many Taiwan-based component makers in Acer's supply chain will also sign deals to set up factories in Chongqing to support Acer's operations.
