Regarding a report on Reuters saying the European Union (EU) will fine panel makers in Asia including LG Display, AU Optronics (AUO), Chimei Innolux (CMI), Chunghwa Picture Tubes (CPT) and HannStar Display for price fixing, AUO responded that it has not received any official notification, while CMI declined to comment as the lawsuit is still under judicial procedure.

The EU is expected to announce the fines to the panel makers on December 8.

Samsung Electronics, the leading panel maker worldwide, is not listed in the lawsuit as it was the one that reported fellow panel makers for conspiring to fix LCD panel prices.
