CHINA'S leading privately-run car maker, Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, began selling cars online yesterday to tap the purchasing power of the nation's netizens.

Geely, which bought Volvo Car Corp this year, said in a statement it has opened a store on Taobao Mall, a major e-commerce website.
