CCFL maker Sintronic Technology, an affiliate of Chunghwa Picture Tubes (CPT) has announced that it will set up a new plant in Fuzhou, China to engage in the production of components for touch panels with a budget of up to NT$100 million (US$3.35 million).

The new factory will focus on the backend lamination process for touch panels, leveraging CPT's manpower and facilities available in the Fuzhou area, Sintronic noted.
