China's software industry generated total sales revenues of CNY345.4 billion (US$52.44 billion) in the first quarter of 2011, growing by 27.0% on year, according to statistics by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).
The total value for exports of software products and services in the first quarter was US$6.75 billion, accounting for 12.9% of the total sales revenues and rising by 24.3% on year.
