Quanta Computer expects its notebook shipments in the second quarter of 2011 to grow 10% from 13.2 million units in the first. For the whole year, shipments will increase 10% from 52.1 million units delivered in 2010, according to the company at a May 3 investors conference.
Quanta is optimistic about the market potential of its servers designed for cloud computing applications, company chairman Barry Lam indicated. Quanta expects revenue proportion for its non-notebook product lines, including servers, all-in-one and tablet PCs, to rise from 20-25% to 30% by the end of 2011.
Quanta's board of directors has decided to distribute a cash dividend of NT$3.60 for 2010, accounting for 73.62% of the corresponding net EPS of NT$4.89.
