Chinese regulators said that they had granted fresh quotas to two foreign institutions to invest in the country's securities markets under its Qualified Foreign Institutional Investor programme.
A $200 million quota was awarded to Morgan Stanley Investment Mangagement Inc., an investment arm of Morgan Stanley.
The State Administration of Foreign Exchange also granted an additional $150 million to Goldman Sachs, doubling the company's quota to $300 million.
More than 40 foreign companies have now been given a combined quota of $7.845 billion to invest in Chinese markets.
