China Gives $350 Mln in Fresh QFII Investment Quotas

Chinese regulators said that they had granted fresh quotas to two foreign institutions to invest in the country's securities markets under its Qualified Foreign Institutional Investor programme. 

A $200 million quota was awarded to Morgan Stanley Investment Mangagement Inc., an investment arm of Morgan Stanley.

The State Administration of Foreign Exchange also granted an additional $150 million to Goldman Sachs, doubling the company's quota to $300 million.

More than 40 foreign companies have now been given a combined quota of $7.845 billion to invest in Chinese markets.
