Malaysia aims to woo 20,000 tourists from Hainan

   Date:2006/12/31

Malaysia Tourism Ministry aims to woo 20,000 tourists from Hainan Province, China, to visit Malaysia next year, from only 5,000 last year.

Although Malaysia and Hainan Province shared a similar tropical climate, Malaysia could still attract the Hainanese because of its places of interest like the Kuala Lumpur Twin Towers, its food and shopping complexes offering a wide variety of branded goods at prices lower than those in other cities.

The economy of the people in Hainan Province had improved due to foreign investments and this enabled them to travel overseas every year.
