From January to August Ningbo wine imports reached 381 thousand L, increasing 133% over the same period of last year.

Total volume of wine imports in the eight months is 381 thousand L, the total value is 1.09 million dollars; the average price of overseas wine is 2.88 dollar/L, while last year's average price is 3.49 dollar/L. Most of overseas wine comes from France, Italy and Portugal. Wine from France is 58.62 thousand L, importing value of 234.8 thousand dollars, average price is 4.0dollar/L; wine from Portugal is 154.3thousand L, importing value 370 thousand dollars, average price 2.4 dollar/L; wine from Italy is 73.86 thousand L, importing value 301.5 thousand dollars, average price 4.08 dollar/L.

It is reported that there is large space and rich profit in China market. Overseas brands are appreciated by domestic consumers, which promote wine importing. Recent years wine tariff decreasing is another reason of wine importing hiking.
