Total revenues of Taiwan-based publicly traded LED firms in October 2011 reached NT$7.69 billion (US$255 million), a 3.47% decrease on month and 10.2% decrease on year. The revenue decrease was most apparent for upstream LED chipmakers.

Equipment providers indicated the speed of expansion has been slowing down.

According to research institutes, Taiwan-based publicly traded LED epitaxy firms had total revenues of NT$3.29 billion for October, a 4.5% decrease on month and 21.7% decrease on year.

Taiwan LED packaging houses reported total revenues of NT$4.41 billion in October, a 2.69% drop on month and 0.9% increase on year, according to research institutes. In particular, Lextar reported October revenues of NT$874 million, an apparent growth. Lextar indicated that lighting products account for 40% of total revenues.
