Singapore, Dec 21, 2011: Chindex International, an American healthcare company providing health care services in China through the operations of United Family Healthcare, a network of private primary care hospitals and affiliated ambulatory clinics, has announced the official opening of its Tianjin United Family Hospital (TJU), one of the latest development projects of the United Family Healthcare (UFH) network. The Company held an opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony for TJU on December 16, 2011, which was attended by distinguished guests including Mr. Gary Locke, the U.S. ambassador to China.

TJU is expected to begin seeing patients this week and gradually ramp up through phased openings throughout the full year of 2012. The 26-licensed bed, 75,000 square foot new facility will provide both inpatient and outpatient services. Inpatient services offer two state-of-the-art operating theaters, including a class-100 air quality operating room that meets the highest air purification standards and is equipped to perform a broad range of surgeries. Outpatient services include Primary Care, Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN), Pediatrics, Dental Services, Emergency, and other supporting departments including a laboratory and radiology department, among others. As part of the UFH network, TJU will offer patients convenient direct billing options with well-established international insurance companies.
