Over 1700 Infiniti QX56s to be recalled in China

   Date:2012/02/29

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai February 28) - The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine announced that Nissan's Chinese branch will recall 1,797 Infiniti QX56 starting March 15, auto.sohu.com reported. The recall is targeted towards 2009 to 2011 model year QX57s manufactured between late August 2009 and late December 2011.

The fuel pressure sensors of the targeted QX57s (pictured) are insufficiently tightened, which may cause the sensor to lose contact with the rest of the vehicle's power system. As drive time accumulates this issue may lead to fuel leaks, posing a serious safety risk.

Nissan's Chinese branch, via its authorized dealership network, will conduct a full inspection of all recalled vehicles. If the sensor is found to be improperly installed, Nissan will fix the problem. In cases of fuel leaks, Nissan will make the necessary replacements.
