Nissan Works Deep Down in China

“Localization of Nissan is very high. Production and sales at the same place. The reason Ibelievecontributed for our success is that we can deliver creation of our product and passion of ourselves to our customers. Besides, the cooperation between us and Dongfeng goes well.”Andy Palmer, Chief Plan Officer of Nissan tells reporter during interview at Beijing Auto Exhibition.

In year 2013, Nissan has realized 1.26 million cars sales in Chin. Sales of the first quarter of year 2014 reaches 283,000 cars, which has increased 21% over the same period of year 2013. Just like words of Andy Palmer, deep down in Chinese market and high level localization contribute to Nissan success in China.

“Compared with our opponents, we work deeply down in Chinese market, which shall bring us to success.”Senior vice president of Nissan and president of Dongfeng Auto GUAN Rui say.

According to introduction of GUAN Rui, the difference between Nissan and its opponents are as following. Nissan owns only one partner in China-- Dongfeng Auto, and the cooperation between us is more tightness. The second, Nissan owns LCV etc. department rather than passenger car business unit only. The third, Nissan shall use Venucia to cut and expand market. Therefore, productiongrowth of Nissan does not on passenger car only but also on LCV etc.

“Venucia bring much support and push for us in China. Nissan does not take Venucia as anaffiliate brand, but an very importantopportunity. It makes up the blank for Nissan for a segment.”Andy Palmer says “I believewe support our joint venture more than others do. Take pure electronic car for an example, it is derived by engineers of Venucia, but Nissan support advanced battery manufacturetechnology.”

As it known, Nissan will introduce more electronic modes into China in the future by Venucia. Meanwhile, the company will invest into research of battery with capital and time. At Beijing Auto Exhibition, Nissan announces a BLADEGLIDE concept car which is designed for Chinese customers. Andy Palmer says that Nissan will introduce the car to the world in the future. China owns 240 million populations 80’s generation, which is doubled than Japanese and four times than English. Nissan has announced to design cars for 80’s generation since last year, and BLADEGLIDER concept car is one of them.
