In the afternoon of September 11, AutoNavi held Media Open Day. On the Day, AutoNavi showed the public its navigation technology application in autonomous environment---Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and announced to put the information of Tesla’s charging pile POI on line.

Derong Jiang, Co-founder and senior vice president of AutoNavi, said, “For map producers, underlying data is their true life, no data no service“. At present, AutoNavi can update map in a short time and provide more detailed POI landmark information.
It was said that after Tesla’s charging piles came out in China, AutoNavi was the first one putting POI map products on line for it has gathered and processed POI landmark information and added the information on line. Currently, Tesla has 137 charging piles, 15 super charging stations, 4 service centers and 2 stores and showrooms each in China, and AutoNavi supports search and navigation of all these landmarks nationwide.
