Recently, Dongfeng-Nissan held Venucia E30 launch conference. Yong Ren, the vice general manager of Dongfeng-Nissan, said up to 2018, annual sales of Venucia PEV (Pure Electric Vehicle) targets 50,000 units and Dongfeng-Nissan also may launch hybrid models in the future.

For the purpose of advancing EV (electric vehicle) development, Venucia released “e worry-free” plan which claims to be the most perfect PEV service system, covering pre-sales, sales and aftersales. Venucia will present 10,000 yuan charging facility subsidies to the owners who purchase vehicles this year and provide them with value-added services such as on-site charging piles installation, and launch customized mobile APP, helping users to query the information of charging piles nearby and choose best charging program for them.

Among Japanese vehicles, Honda and Toyota mainly produce hybrid vehicles while Nissan focuses on PEV in which Leaf is called as “Peal of Crown” of Nissan. However, it does not mean Nissan occupies no hybrid technology.

Yong Ren also said impacted by the further enhancement of emission requirements in China, besides improving the efficiency of traditional fuel vehicles, Dongfeng-Nissan has made layout in producing best PEV and taken hybrid models into account. Since 2006, Dongfeng-Nissan has begun to construct the largest vehicle R&D center in South China, and invested RMB500 million to build Venucia modeling center, Dongfeng-Nissan advanced engineering technology center and enterprise-university structure on August 6, 2014 in order to improve R&D capabilities.

At the end of 2012, Nissan revealed that among the 15 hybrid models it planned to develop, 11 new gas-electric hybrid vehicle would applied its latest precursor hybrid system which had debut in 2013 as scheduled and might be installed on JX crossover of Infiniti for the first time.

In addition, one model of PHEV (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle) will be launched in 2015, and other three models of rear-drive hybrid electric vehicles will use the system applied by M hybrid of Infiniti at present.
