Profit up in H1

SHANGHAI International Airport Co (stock code: 600009), operator of China's second-busiest airfield, said first-half profit rose 12 percent from a year earlier because of increasing demand for air travel.
Net income rose to 834.7 million yuan (US$110.3 million) from 745.7 million yuan a year earlier, the Shanghai-based company said in a statement. The firm runs Shanghai Pudong International Airport.
