VODone Limited, a leading online telemedia service provider in China, has launched seven new channels including finance, sports and English-language channels.

The launch further solidifies VODone's presence in the telemedia market and significantly expands its reach to customers, said VODone chairman Zhang Lijun.

VODone will conduct live online broadcasting to China's 132 million netizens and 90 million broadband users through its network, which includes more than 5,000 member websites such as the MSN channel of Microsoft China and CNCMAX of China Netcom.

In the past few months, VODone has partnered with Xinhua News Agency  to provide economic news and Reuters Group to offer economic information.

We have sufficient confidence in VODone's future as China's online video advertisement market has topped 300 billion yuan, said Zhang.

VODone, listed in Hong Kong in 2007, is the first and leading online video media group in China. It is also the only enterprise in the country to own a complete set of licenses to operate video broadcasting on the Internet. (One U.S. dollar equals 7.51 yuan)
