Minsheng denies UK float report

CHINA Minsheng Banking Corp (stock code: 600016), the nation's first privately owned bank, said yesterday it hasn't considered listing its shares in London, dismissing a media report it may raise at least US$2 billion selling stock in the city.
The board of directors hasn't discussed listing in London, Beijing-based Minsheng said in a statement to the Shanghai Stock Exchange, after the South China Morning Post said on Wednesday the bank may shift a planned overseas initial public offering to London from Hong Kong to gain a higher international profile.
