CHINA UnionPay Co, the country's sole interbank switching company, recently teamed up with the Tourism New South Wales of Australia to encourage Chinese credit card holders to visit Sydney and NSW after signing a memorandum of understanding.

Last year there were more than 248,000 visitors from China to NSW, spending around US$577 million.
