INDIA'S largest engineering company, Larsen & Toubro Ltd, will double production capacity of rubber machinery in China next year as manufacturers such as tire makers in China place more orders.
The company will open a new plant in Qingdao, eastern Shandong Province, where most of the nation's tire companies are located, in June next year, it said yesterday in a statement.
L&T (Qingdao) Rubber Machinery Co Ltd, in which Larsen & Toubro has a 95 percent stake, will make tire-building machines and tire curing presses. Its local partner China Over World Group holds the remaining stake.
