Out-of-home advertising network VisionChina Media Inc. plans to begin trading on Nasdaq under the ticker "VISN" on December 6, reports chinaventure.com citing foreign media reports. A VisionChina public relations representative told Pacific Epoch to, "pay attention to Internet media reports about the listing as they may be accurate," in response to PE's confirmation call on December 4. VisionChina plans to sell 13.5 million American Depository Shares to raise up to US$155 million in its offering. VisionChina plans to spend US$85 million of capital raised from the offering to expand its advertising network and set up a new media platform. VisionChina had 330,000 screens in mass transit systems in 14 Chinese cities by September 2007, according to a Sina report.
