According to the latest statistics of Ministry of Information Industry, the sales revenue of China software industry amounted to RMB 480 billion in 2006, up 23% year-on-year. It is forecasted that the figure will reach RMB 580 billion in 2007 with a growth rate of more than 20%. In terms of international market, the software export volume of China was USD 3.59 billion in 2005, only accounting 5.9% in the global software market. In 2006, China's export volume of software reached about USD six billion.
