    The new subscribers of China Unicom reached 1.623 million in Apr 2007, among which GSM network subscribers were 1.14 million and, CDMA network 483 thousand. 
The value-added business of China Unicom developed rapidly in the past three years, increasing from RMB 7.4 billion in 2004 to RMB 17.3 billion in 2006, and the CAGR reached 52.9%. In addition, the proportion of the value-added business to the total revenue increased continuously, rising from 11.1% in 2004 to 22.1% in 2006. 
The ARPU of GSM network and CDMA network subscribers of China Unicom was RMB 46.8 and RMB 58.6 respectively in the first quarter of 2007, down 5.3% and 14.5% year-on-year. The MOU of GSM network and CDMA network subscribers was 237.2 minutes and 257.4 minutes respectively, up 8.4% and 2.5% respectively from a year earlier.
