Guangzhou Development Industry (Holdings) Co., Ltd. is primarily engaged in the investment, construction, development and operation of electric power, coal, oil products, natural gas and new energy. The Company operates its businesses through electric power business, which involves in generation and distribution of electric power; coal business, which involves in mining, transportation, transfer and sale of coal products; oil products and natural gas businesses, which engaged in storage and transportation of liquid natural gas (LNG), as well as new energy business, which include solar energy photovoltaic power generation projects. It operates its businesses principally in Southern China. As of December 31, 2010, the Company had seven major subsidiaries and three affiliates, which involved in the generation, manufacture and sale of electric power, petroleum chemical products, aerated concrete and gas.
