Chongqing Three Gorges Water Conservancy and Electric Power Co., Ltd. is principally engaged in hydraulic power generation and distribution. The Company is also engaged in other businesses, including the inspection, design and installation of water saving devices. During the year ended December 31, 2010, the Company generated approximately 1278 million kilowatt-hours of on-grid electricity and sold approximately 1161 million kilowatt-hours of electricity. The Company operates its business mainly in Wanzhou district in Chongqing and Chengdu in Sichuan province, China. As of December 31, 2010, the Company had four wholly owned subsidiaries, four partially owned subsidiaries and two associates. During the year ended December 31, 2010, the Company completed its purchase of 95.85% of the equity of Wuxi Houxi River Hydropower Development Co., Ltd.
