Its subsidiaries include ASM Asia Limited, ASM Assembly Automation Limited, ASM Assembly Materials Limited, ASM Technology Singapore Pte Limited, ASM Technology (M) Sdn. Bhd., Shenzhen ASM Micro Electronic Technology Company Limited and ASM Semi-conductor Materials (Shenzhen) Company Limited. On January 7, 2011, ASM entered the Surface Mount Technology business by acquiring Siemens Electronics Assembly Systems business from Siemens AG.
