Kowloon Development Company Limited is engaged in property development and investment, and the holding of investments. The Company operates in seven segments. The Property development segment develops and sells of properties. The Property investment segment leases properties. The Finance and investments segment is engaged in the financial investments and the provision of finance services. The Oil segment is engaged in oil exploration and production. Other businesses segment mainly includes income from the sale of ice and the provision of cold storage services and treasury operations. The Lake is a joint venture residential and commercial development project with CITIC Property Group. During the year ended December 31, 2010, the Company disposed of a number of retail units at Sino Centre in Mongkok, which are its investment properties in Hong Kong. In July 2010, Polytec Asset Holdings Limited (Polytec Asset) acquired an oil company in Kazakhstan.
