Hanny Holdings Limited is an investment holding company. The Company, along with its subsidiaries, is principally engaged in trading of securities, which is engaged in trading of investments held for trading; holding of vessels for sand mining, which is engaged in sale of river sand; industrial water supply business, which is engaged in provision of water supply, and property development and trading, which is engaged in development and sale of properties. On 31 December 2009, the Company acquired 30% equity interests in Fortune Well Holdings Limited (Fortune Well). As on March 31, 2010, the Company acquired 60% interest in Best Smooth International Limited. On March 4, 2010, the Company disposed of 65% interest in Hanny Investment Group Limited (HIGL), and all its interest in Memorex International Inc. and its subsidiaries (MII Group). During the fiscal year ended March 31, 2010 (fiscal 2010), it disposed of 100% interest in Hemmant Holdings Limited and its subsidiaries.
