Sino Biopharmaceutical Limited is an investment holding company. The Company researches, develops, manufactures and markets a range of Chinese medicines and chemical medicines. The Chinese medicines and chemical medicines segment consists of the manufacture, sale and distribution of the Chinese medicine products and western medicine products. The Investment segment is engaged in long term and short term investment. The others segment comprises, principally, its research and development sector, which provides services to third parties. On November 2, 2010, the Company established a wholly owned subsidiary, Lucky Symbol Holdings Limited (Lucky Symbol). On January 29, 2010, it established a wholly owned subsidiary, Chia Tai Pharmaceutical Investment (Beijing) Co., Ltd. On May 26, 2010, the Company鈥檚 subsidiary, Jiangsu Chia Tai Qingjiang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., established a wholly owned subsidiary, Jiangsu Chia Tai Qingjiang Medicines Co., Ltd.
