Zhejiang Glass Company, Limited is principally engaged in the manufacturing and selling of glass and soda ash products. The Company operates in two segments: manufacturing and selling of glass products, and manufacturing and selling of soda ash products. During the year ended December 31, 2008, the Company focused on the development and production of premium glass. It launched two new glass production lines in 2008, focused on the production of ultra-thick glass (12 millimeter or above in thickness) for the exterior walls of buildings. As of December 31, 2008, Zhejiang Glass Company, Limited operated a total of 10 flat glass production lines with an aggregate daily melting capacity of 5,000 tons. During 2008, it produced about 24.3 million weight cases or 1,212,500 tons of flat glass.
