Dalian Insulator Group Co., Ltd. (formerly Dalian Porcelain Insulator Works.) is located in DD Port, Dalian Economic and Technological Development Zone, covering an area of 171,000 square meters. It has three subsidiaries and three professional institutions for design and R&D. As one of China's largest manufacturers of line insulators, it is mainly engaged in the development, production and sale of porcelain insulators for high-voltage power transmission and transformation lines, composite insulators, station insulators, electric porcelains, and line hardware and fittings.

The main products cover 70 ~ 550kN AC/DC porcelain suspension insulators, 35 ~ 1000kV AC composite insulators, ± 500 ~ ± 800kV DC composite insulators, 110kV ~ 1000kV high voltage, EHV (extra-high voltage) and UHV (ultra-high voltage) station insulators, post insulators, and various sets of bushing insulators. Products are exported to more than 40 countries and regions, and “Sanjian” products enjoy high reputations both at home and abroad.

The Group has strong technology development capabilities, its own intellectual property rights, and advanced equipment and complete testing means. Its products are made in line with the National Standards, standards of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), and other national standards in the United States, Britain, Canada, and Australia. It took the lead to pass the certification of ISO9001 Quality Management System in 1997.

From 1950’s, the Group began to undertake national key power transmission and transformation projects. It is a major enterprise with the tender eligibility of 500kV and above lines certified by the State Grid Corporation of China, and more than 10 million products have already been working safely in the national 500kV transmission lines.

In 2004 the company relocated and carried out large-scale technical reforms, and the equipment and technology have reached the internationally advanced level. Dalian Insulator Co., Ltd. was formally established in 2009.
