CHINA, the world's second-biggest oil consumer, approved wholesale oil-product licenses for eight companies, including two units of CNOOC Ltd's parent, the nation's third-biggest oil company.
The government granted a license for fuel wholesaling each to a refining unit and a sales subsidiary of China National Offshore Oil Corp, the Ministry of Commerce said in a statement on its Website yesterday. The units are among six other companies in China that were given the license to distribute wholesale fuel products, it said. The government also approved licenses for fuel storage to two units of China National Offshore, it said.
