GERMANY'S Porsche AG yesterday opened its first Chinese training center in Shanghai's Jiading District, as it targets to further improve its service in one of its fastest growing markets.
The world's leading luxury sports car maker has invested 10 million yuan (US$1.3 million) in the training facility which is the largest of its kind outside its home country, covering 11 million square meters, the company said. All Porsche staff members in China will receive courses on Porsche models, sales and marketing strategy as well as after sales services in the center to increase its market competitiveness. Porsche is expected to set up 22 to 25 dealers in China by the end of this year, selling Boxster, Cayman, 911 and Cayenne.
