JIANGLING Motors Corp, Ford Motor Co's Chinese commercial vehicle partner, aims to boost annual automobile sales 76 percent by 2010 as companies in the country buy more trucks and vans.

The auto maker aims to sell 150,000 Ford and own-brand vehicles a year by 2010, Chairman Wang Xigao said yesterday at the company's headquarters in Jiangling, eastern Jiangxi Province. It sold a record 85,214 vehicles last year. Jiangling will debut a new version of the Transit van in September as it seeks to boost its annual sales 17 percent this year.
