DOOSAN Infracore Co said it will double production capacity of machine tools in China in the next two years to tap into the growing demand for more sophisticated types of machinery.

South Korea's biggest maker of construction equipment now has a machine tool factory in northern Shandong Province with an output of 1,000 units a year. Total manufacturing capacity of Doosan was 10,000 units last year. Park Sung Gap, its China chief representative for the machine tool and automation business, said they expect almost doubled sales in machine tools in the market this year at 2,000 units, up from last year's 1,100 units.
