Retail sales of passenger vehicles in China rose 14.4 pct year-on-year to 532,384 units in November, the Union of National Passenger Cars Market Information said.
The industry association said in a statement that output for the month rose 19.8 pct from a year earlier to 606,896 units.
In the first 11 months, domestic sales of passenger vehicles including sedans, sport-utility vehicles and multi-purpose vehicles, increased 21.1 pct year-on-year to 5.39 mln units while output grew 22.4 pct to around 5.73 mln.
FAW VW, one of Volkswagen AG's two car joint ventures in China, was the top sedan maker in November, with domestic sales of 45,212 units, said the association, without providing comparative data.
General Motors' flagship car joint venture in China - Shanghai GM - was in second place with sales of 45,183 units.
