SSANGYONG Motor Co, a South Korean unit of China's biggest auto maker SAIC Motor Corp, expects vehicle sales to rise 3.8 percent this year, helped by a new luxury car in the domestic market.
Ssangyong forecasts to sell 141,800 units this year, compared with the 136,581 it sold in 2007, the auto maker said in a regulatory filing yesterday. It's targeting annual revenue of 3.5 trillion won (US$3.7 billion), 12 percent more than a year earlier.
