AVICHINA Industry & Technology Co, a Chinese maker of cars and helicopters, suspended its Hong Kong-traded shares pending an announcement on a unit's plan to sell shares in China.
The company's statement to Hong Kong's stock exchange didn't provide more details. Subsidiary Jiangxi Hongdu Aviation Industry Co, a Chinese aircraft maker, is seeking as much as 2.5 billion yuan (US$344 million) in a share sale to 10 investors to boost production capacity, AviChina said in a separate statement.
