CHINA'S liquefied petroleum gas prices have fallen since the government said it will start checks to prevent random, inflation-boosting increases in charges for the fuel used for cooking and heating.

Oil companies have redressed issues of unauthorized rises of factory-gate prices and LPG retailers have also reduced prices, the National Development and Reform Commission, China's top economic planner, said in a statement on its Website yesterday.
