CHINA National Petroleum Corp, the nation's biggest oil producer, sent 100,000 metric tons of emergency fuel supplies to Sichuan after an earthquake hit the province, the company said on its Website yesterday.
The magnitude-7.8 temblor, the biggest to hit China in 58 years, struck on Monday, about 80 kilometers from the Sichuan capital, Chengdu, that's home to 11 million people. More than 14,000 have died and thousands are still trapped under debris, according to Bloomberg News.
