July 22 – Lontrue (300175) posted a 21.69-percent year-on-year increase in net profits for the first half of 2011 to 26.7 million yuan with EPS of 0.27 yuan, reports China Securities Journal, citing a company filing. Sales grew 36.48 percent year-on-year to 236 million yuan. It plans to convert every 10 shares held by investors to 12 shares.

The Yantai-based fruit producer benefited from an increase in foreign sales and higher sales prices. Lontrue focused on high-end markets in west Europe, and sales in Britain leaped 1,483 percent. The company's largest fresh fruit export market is Southeast Asia, and sales to Indonesia in particular brought in 108 million yuan in the first six months of the year.

The firm expanded domestically via direct outlets, supermarkets, wholesale market and e-commerce. Domestic sales are projected to account for one third of total over the next three years.
