The State Council's Taiwan Affairs office announced that more cities will be included in individual travel scheme to Taiwan, and encouraged more direct ties in agriculture.

The office also noted that during the second half of 2011, another four Taiwan banks established mainland offices, including Chinatrust, which opened its Shanghai branch in October.
