August 12 -- Zhejiang Semir Garment (002563.SZ) posted a 29.12-percent year-on-year increase in net profit to 437 million yuan in the first half of 2011, reports yicai.com, citing a company filing.

Sales revenue in the same period grew 36.64 percent year-on-year to 3.01 billion yuan, of which revenue from garment sales hit 2.95 billion yuan, with gross margin of 37.27 percent, up 0.36 percentage point year-on-year.

The company attributed strong sales performance in the period to a larger sales outlet area, improved company management and improved store operations.
