September 8 -- Chongqing Iron & Steel Company (601005) posted a 72.7-percent year-on-year increase in steel production volume to 524,800 tons in August, reports p5w.net, citing a company filing.

Steel production volume in the first eight months grew 57.67 percent year-on-year to 3.74 million tons.

Chongqing Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. was founded in 1997 and provides steel plates, steel sections, steel billets, as well as coking and steelmaking byproducts
