Kingsun Optoelectronic (002638.SZ) readjusted its product mix in light of the LED market trend. The proportion of revenue from landscape lighting declined from 70% in 2008 to 35% in 2011H1; while that of exterior lighting and interior lighting enhanced from 19.8% and 0.64% in 2008 to 54% and 7.8% in 2011H1 separately.
With the launch of national standard for LED product, part of LED products will be included in national green lighting program and receive financial subsidies hopefully in 2011. Industrial lighting and commercial lighting will probably start operation on a large scale. Kingsun plans to invest RMB463.43 million on projects including LED exterior and landscape light, LED interior light, LED light R&D center etc.
