Guangzhou Automobile Group (HKG:2238) announced that it received on 31 January 2012 the written approval of the CSRC regarding its proposal merger with GAC Changfeng Motor Co., Ltd..

There is no assurance that the A-share issue and the proposed merger will proceed, Guangzhou Automobile Group stresses.
