In 3rd green industry conference held in Guangzhou recently, Su Bo, the vice minister of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said the government will develop environmental care industry and promote green industry beginning with the industrialization of new energy vehicle. Also the government will keep promoting new vehicle demonstration project and detail program is being formulated. At the same time, the popularization of hybrid car is often mentioned in auto industry and auto manufacturers are preparing positively for the industrialization.

Su Bo also said promotion of technical demonstration and industrialization of new energy vehicle is important for the development of environmental care industry. According to his introduction, government has launched 25 new energy vehicle technical projects and support 4 billion Yuan.

By the end of 2012, the government had demonstrated 27432 environmental care & new energy vehicles and supported 5.7 billion Yuan. There have been 174 charging stations and more than 8000 charging posts. In the new program of central government subsidies for new energy vehicle in September, the direct subsidy had been confirmed. The promotion of new energy vehicle will keep relying on megalopolises. New policy also focuses on government agency, public institution and bus. The ratio of new energy vehicle in new cars purchasing mustn’t be lower than 30%. Also bonus had been set in the program.

The promotion of regular hybrid car has been a common sense in auto industry because the policy of “5 L/100km fuel consumption in 2020” cannot be achieved unless hybrid technology is popularized. Recently auto insiders suggest hybrid car should be independent from environmental care vehicle. The main problem of this suggestion is technical advantage of multinational auto manufacturers. From some voices from government, it seems regular hybrid car still rely on the promotion of auto company and market.
