LINDE Group, a closely held Chinese logistics firm, bought Germany's Parchim Airport for one billion yuan (US$130 million), Xinhua news agency said, citing Linde Chairman Pang Yuliang.

The company, also called Link Global Logistics Co, will fly cargo and charter passenger flights into the airport in Schwerin, Germany, near Hamburg, according to Xinhua. A representative from Schwerin confirmed the purchase at a meeting in the Chinese city of Zhengzhou, and said that Linde beat 10 competitors in an international tender.
