HONG Kong International Airport recorded solid growth in passenger and cargo volume and air-traffic movement in June, official figures released yesterday indicated. Passenger throughput and air traffic grew 5.7 percent and 5.6 percent respectively from June 2006 to 3.85 million and 24,180.

Cargo traffic increased 5.3 percent to 305,000 tons, according to figures released by the Hong Kong Airport Authority. For the first six months of 2007, passenger volume rose 6.4 percent to 22.7 million, while cargo traffic grew 1.5 percent to 1.7 million tons from the corresponding period in 2006.
