BEIJING Capital International Airport Co, operator of Asia's second-busiest airfield, said profit was little changed in the first six months of the year.
Net income rose to 566.7 million yuan (US$75 million), or 0.14 yuan a share, from 555.2 million yuan, or 0.1 yuan, a year earlier, the company said in a statement to Hong Kong's stock exchange yesterday. Sales rose to 1.66 billion yuan. Beijing airport's first-half passenger numbers rose 16 percent, as China's economic growth made flights affordable to more people. A third runway and a new terminal under construction will more than double the airport's capacity ahead of next year's Olympics, Bloomberg News reported.
